We had a rare opportunity this New Year to ring in the new year while gazing upon the Eiffel Tower. Paris started out as just a stop-over on the way to Kazakhstan, but we ended up extended it to be a whole week. These are a few of our favorite memories…
at the end of the Champs Elysees…
Montmarte “Little Paris” – this was exactly what we came for, and we just stumbled upon it! We came to look at the church, but as we followed this street behind it, it kept getting better and better.
This is L’Hospital Invalides.
Notre Dame with a fisheye perspective.
I love stained glass and I love candles!
Arc de Triomphe
This is my favorite photo from the trip.
This is view from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
The belly of the Eiffel Tower. We stood here for 3 hours waiting in the cold just to “get” to walk up to the second level. Totally worth it.
On Ile St. Louise – Masha took this one.
An amazing door on the side of Notre Dame. Masha loves red doors.
Looks like this statue is eating a snack. The guy on his left might grab it from if he’s not careful.
You gotta pay this pigeon 10 crumbs to get in the Crypt.
Yours truly.
Thanks for looking at our photos! We had a blast, but we were exhausted… More to come from the Kazakhstan leg of the trip in a future post.
