Welcome to my blog!

My wife Masha and I have been married for a little more than a year, so the all the stress and excitement of wedding planning are all too familiar to us. She gives me a new perspective on this industry, and is always supportive, even when I'm a little crazy. Did I mention she also takes great photos?

Why would someone want to be a wedding photographer, you ask? What I love about being a wedding photographer is I get to spend the happiest day of your life with you, while giving you a way to enjoy it forever. What could be better?

My goal is simply this: to cover your event without getting in the way. I want your album to transport you back to the enchantment of your nuptial bliss, and they should serve as a physical reminder of the commitment you have entered into. Valentine’s Day Engagement Shoot - Dennis and Abby (with FUSION)

When we looked at our calendars for a day that would work for Dennis and Abby, the only day over the entire month that was “available” was Valentine’s day.  This suddenly seemed uber-romantic so I thought I would try out this “fusion” thing to spice things up.  For those who don’t know, my understanding of “fusion” is to mix photos and video.  But his not just any video, this is video that plays well with photos next to, video taken with a photographer’s eye.  With the trusty 5D Mark II in hand, after hours of fighting the crowds to get to Laguna Beach, this is what we created:

We had a rare opportunity this New Year to ring in the new year while gazing upon the Eiffel Tower.   Paris started out as just a stop-over on the way to Kazakhstan, but we ended up extended it to be a whole week.  These are a few of our favorite memories…

paris_0004Montmarte “Little Paris” - this was exactly what we came for, and we just stumbled upon it!  We came to look at the church, but as we followed this street behind it, it kept getting better and better.

Santiago and Tirtzah - Santa Ana Wedding Photography

Santiago and Tirtzah have that sort of magic that everyone dreams of at their wedding. These two obviously are crazy about each other as evidenced by their engagement photo session we did a few months ago.  Their ceremony was at Waverly Chapel in Santa Ana, and the Reception was at Jason’s Downtown, also in Santa Ana.  The details turned out amazingly, and I really had a great time.
