I love these guys! Their venice beach engagement session was a blast, and their wedding was no slouch either. The wedding was at EV Free Church of Fullerton (where we got married!), and the reception was at the Green Parrot in Santa Ana.

Michael and Jaymee – Strawberry Farms Wedding Photography

These are 2 of the most decent people you will ever meet. Their wedding was hosted at the ever-charming Strawberry Farms in Irvine, which has been my favorite place to shoot for a few years now. The weather was perfect, the couple was happy and prepared, and Jen Disney (the photographer responsible for shooting my very own wedding!) was 2nd shooting for me. It was a photographer’s paradise.

Free fresh fruit! Both decorative and practical.

I love sunsets. This one didn’t require a sunset-lover to appreciate it!

Their dance floor had no lack of participation like some “white people” weddings I have been to in my time. They got right down to business.

Jeff and Lauren – Universal City Wedding

One of the greatest honors for a wedding photographer is to have a bride choose her wedding date based on my availability. Lauren was one of those brides. I photographed her brother’s wedding back in 2009, her grandfather’s wedding in 2010, and for 2 years she has been planning this extravaganza. She managed to be very calm and collected the whole day, and her Jeff did very well too. We did some fun engagement photos in Long Beach a while back as well. Here are the key contributors to this wedding’s success:

I have a thing for “bride in transit” shots.

Their first look – truly memorable.

You guys look amazing!

Look at those eyes – they remind me of a disney princess.

That’s a good-looking group!

This church is used all the time in TV shows and movies. I caught in a sitcom just this past week!

A proud moment for dad. Since I’ll have a daughter soon, this is something I can hopefully take part in someday!

The reception was held inside Universal Studios, at the Globe Theater. They had a red carpet entrance and an incredible ballroom.

Look familiar? It’s Melissa and Walt!

We snuck out of dinner for a 10-minute sunset session. I highly recommend this if the schedule allows!

Themed wedding favors… very classy.

With a red-carpet-streamer-popper-assault grand exit, no less.

What an elegant and stylish wedding this was. Thanks to all involved, it really was a great day.

Brian and Christina – San Clemente Wedding Photography

These are the fabulous pair from this engagement session which I still consider my all-time favorite engagement session. I had high hopes for their wedding, and they didn’t let me down. The ceremony and reception were both held at San Clemente Presbyterian Church, which is a great location with plenty of great spots for photos. The food from Iva Lees Catering was perfect, and the hair and makeup by Tracey Wong was stunning. This wedding had a few firsts for me – some ideas to think about:

First footwashing in the ceremony
First powerpoint during a toast (Father of the bride was a teacher)
First encounter with the police (don’t worry, this ended well!)
First ceremony where the bridal party (except the best man and maid of honor) got to sit down during the sermon. They brought ‘em back up for the last few minutes of the ceremony.

I love the clear heels

Their first look was truly amazing. I think I teared up a little!

Just about every bridesmaid is crying here. Classic.

The footwashing was a really nice touch.

Seriously beatiful!

Turns out the previous photo should have cost a $500 fine! This cop let us off since it was her wedding day.

He carried her like this over about 150 feet of dirt. Stud!

They rode off into the night on their beach cruisers with bubbles behind them.

A GLEE Wedding? Walt and Melissa – Woodland Hills Wedding Photography

OK, for you Glee fans – did you see the “Furt” episode? Where Kurt’s dad and Finn’s mom got married? Well, my last wedding happened to be in that very church. Being in the TMZ really helps get your church on the map, apparently!

Anyway, rain on your wedding is supposed to be good luck. Maybe for the bride, but not the photographer! We had to duck outside any chance we had to make sure we took advantage of the dry moments. Luckily, they picked great locations so shooting inside didn’t turn out too shabby either.

My wife Masha and I had a wonderful experience capturing Steven and Crystal’s wedding day. They are people of passion, full of emotion and love for their friends, family, and the Lord. The wedding was held at Wilshire Avenue Church in Fullerton, and the Reception has held at the Crown Plaza in Fullerton. The excellent makeup was done by Damaris. Kara and Brian – Orange County Wedding Photographer

This was one of those perfect fall weddings. I was amazed that such pristine surroundings existing in Orange County, and September is the perfect month to get married, if you ask me. I met Kara in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo while we were both involved in Campus Crusade. My wife and I had a blast with Kara and Brian at their “China Cove” Engagement Session a while back.

Adam and Heather – Fullerton Wedding Photography

I’ve known Adam forever. Literally since I was 10 years old. When he contacted me about his wedding, I was thrilled to reconnect and meet the woman to be his wife. You may recognize them from their Engagement Session in Crystal Cove, or maybe you saw them in a magazine somewhere (they could be, right?). The ceremony and reception were both held at the Muckenthaler (or just “the Muck”) in Fullerton, CA.

Steven and Brittney – Newport Beach Harbor Wedding Photography

Here’s a beautiful wedding I photographed aboard the Ambassador from Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters. Steven and Brittney have that special awkwardness/affection that reminded me of being engaged myself. They were so cool and collected the whole day, and they opted for a really special “first look”.
